Teacher of the Month

Teacher of the Month

My name is Miss Allison. I am a recent graduate of Holy Family University with my masters in Elementary Education; my undergrad is in design. My first job with children was at COA Southampton where I taught in the 3 year old room. I left briefly to fulfill my student teaching requirements, in which I taught 3rd grade at Willow Dale Elementary School. I now happily reside here at COA Ivyland with my friends in the infant room. I love working with children of all ages because it is so wonderful to be able to see them develop and grow.

Meet Our Teachers

Our Teachers - A Life Choice

Our teaching methods are designed to capture your child's imagination and stimulate that young mind as teachers facilitate what children learn. COA's teachers are passionate about your child's happiness and growth and provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment that cultivates self-esteem. Our teachers see their positions as a life choice, to teach and serve the children of their community.

Professional Standards – Expectation of Excellence

Our teaching staff is a group of highly trained, educated, and skilled preschool educators. In keeping with COA's superior standards, we have established the National Training Institute (NTI). Recognized by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), our professional development program is dedicated to promoting the education and well being of children. This extensive training program helps our teachers to continue their education with advanced coursework in administration, leadership, curriculum and early childhood education.

Our teachers are passionate and enthusiastic about working with young children, and each teacher has his or her own special talent which, when brought together as a whole, makes for a remarkable educational team.

Our staff members must pass rigorous background checks and are guided by skilled management teams. We require yearly assessments of our staff and proactively create a teaching environment for both the children we serve and the teachers we employ. Our enduring commitment to training and supporting our staff means you can be assured that each individual teaching your child is prepared to meet your expectation of excellence.

Our schools welcome children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, providing a safe and stimulating environment for young minds to grow and develop.

Small Class Size

Our low teacher-to-student ratios allow teachers to focus on the individual learning needs of each child in our center.
