Newsletter - Dear Family

We are excited for the month of May! This month is focused on Mother's and Teachers nurturing and growing. As Teacher Appreciation Week approaches we want to say; words will never express the amount of gratitude we feel for the teachers that bring the love to every child, every day. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th through the 10th. Also, this month we are hosting Parent/Teacher conferences May 28th through the 31st. This is a time that you can discuss with the teachers any concerns that you may have. Our teachers work very hard to make sure that your children are where they need to be developmentally, socially and physically. With the weather changing please make sure to swap out your child(ren)s clothing to make it weather appropriate. As a reminder, we will be CLOSED May 27th, 2019 in honor of Memorial Day.

Bentley books are published six times throughout the year. Children anticipate their opportunity to participate in the process. Bentley, our mascot, helps promote a lifelong love of learning by acting out the authors’ script. Your children are the authors!

May:

Measurement: We measure to figure and compare height, length, and width; area and volume; time; etc. Measurement is expressed in conventional units such as inches and feet, ounces and pounds etc. But children may express height as,” Five bowls high!” SO, measure things! Use a ruler, a hand, a shoe or spoon. But measure! Talk about time!
