How is STAR unique? Our rooms are divided into interest areas that are clearly defined for optimized effectiveness. In this environment of developmentally appropriate toys and materials, learning occurs naturally. Materials are designed to be stimulating for specific types of work. Transitions happen naturally in this environment. This is where work looks like play.

October:

Don’t be intimidated by helping your child increase their math skills. Don’t worry about your child getting the exact “right” answer or solves the problem the way you would. The most important thing is get your child thinking and reasoning about math. Children learn mathematics best through hands-on activities that encourage them to: Explore, solve problems and understand how they arrive at a conclusion.
