Newsletter - Dear Family

We can't believe that it has already been one month since summer our Camp WOW has started. The children have had so much fun with all the extra curricular activities that we have been having for the summer months. During this month of August we will be preparing for back to schools. We will start preparing for transition into their new classrooms for September. We know this can be exciting but also scary for young children, we are here to help make this transition as easy as possible. Any questions you have please know that we are here to help!

KDI 48: Science and Technology- Predicting: Children predict what they expect will happen Making predictions is a simple place for young children to begin their comprehension journey. This can easily be modeled and discussed as you read books together, experiment with objects and explore materials. You can say, “I think … will happen next because…” or “What do you think will happen next?” Even the youngest of children can do this.

Scaffolding Learning about Science. Experiment with magnets. Give your child a refrigerator magnet and see where they can make it stick. Talk about what those objects have in common.
