We are back to school! We are looking forward to a fantastic school yr! I hope you all enjoyed Summer camp! We had so much fun and created great memories! As we get back in gear please make sure to check your childs cubbies for any left over summer fun items. As well as to make sure they have extra clothes in there cubbies for just incase purposes. We look forward to a fun filled school yr with lots of fun learning opportunites for growth! We will do our classroom transitions to the new classrooms the 1st week of school 8/14/19. We look forward to partnering with all our families! Lets cheer for the new school yr!

KDI 25: Language, Literacy and Communication- Alphabetic Knowledge: Children identify letter names and their sounds.

Alphabet knowledge is also considered a component of concept of print. This includes knowledge of the names of each letter, the order of the alphabet, recognition of each upper-case and lower-case letter, and knowing the difference between letters and words. Alphabet Knowledge includes recognizing all the letters of the alphabet by name. This includes recognizing upper-case and lower-case letters. To help your child with alphabetic knowledge read, read and read.


January:

Hold your baby and investigate what they see in the mirror. Point out the different parts of their body (toes, head, fingers) and then point them out on yourself. Use words to describe the different parts of you. Talk about what each part does.
