Big futures start with little learners.

Academic excellence. Whole-child development. Joyful learning. Family-owned since 1996.

Preschool is where curiosity becomes confidence. At COA, our Preschool and Pre-K classrooms are designed to give every child the academic, social, and emotional foundation they need to walk into kindergarten feeling ready, excited, and proud.

Through our exclusive Mind & Body Matters™ curriculum, children don’t just learn — they discover. They make friends, solve problems, build independence, and fall in love with learning — all in a warm, safe environment where they truly belong..

Program Overview

Where learning feels like play — because it should.

Our Preschool and Pre-K programs offer the perfect balance of structure and creativity. The STAR Curriculum introduces reading readiness, early math, science exploration, and social studies — all through hands-on, thematic learning that keeps children engaged and excited.

Social problem-solving, leadership, and emotional regulation are woven into every part of the day — because we believe the “whole child” matters just as much as the report card.

FAQs

Have questions about our Infant & Toddler Program? We’re here to help. Find answers to common questions about daily routines, curriculum, feeding and diapering, safety, family communication, and developmental milestones. Our goal is to give you the information you need to feel confident in choosing the right early learning environment for your child.

What ages are in the Preschool and Pre-K programs?

Preschool typically serves children ages 3–4, and Pre-K serves children ages 4–5. Exact age groupings may vary by location — contact your local COA school for details.

STAR stands for Science, Technology, Arts, and Research. It’s the academic core of our Mind & Body Matters™ curriculum — a thematic, hands-on learning program that introduces math, literacy, science, and social studies in an age-appropriate, engaging way.

Our Pre-K program is specifically designed for kindergarten readiness. Children build early literacy through phonics and our Just Read sight word program, develop math skills through STAR Curriculum, and practice the social-emotional skills (like taking turns, managing emotions, and following directions) that teachers say matter most in kindergarten.

Just Read is COA’s proprietary literacy program featuring Bentley, our beloved mascot. Bentley “reads” custom-written books during group time, making storytime interactive, imaginative, and genuinely exciting for kids. The program builds listening comprehension, vocabulary, and a love of books.

Yes. COA accepts childcare subsidies, CCDF vouchers, and state assistance programs. Every family is welcome — contact your local school to confirm accepted programs in your area.

Our Mind & Body Matters™ curriculum is exclusive to COA — you won’t find it anywhere else. It develops the whole child through four integrated programs: STAR academics, Presidential Fitness, Just Read literacy, and Apple A Day nutrition. Add to that our family-owned culture, 28 years of experience, and genuine community — and COA is more than a preschool. It’s a partner for your family.
